
Alisha Bruton is a research scientist and biostatistician at Oregon Health & Science University (OHSU). Her research focuses on the role of nutrition, stress, inflammation, and body awareness on the health and well-being of people with ADHD. She has a master’s degree in biostatistics, a master’s degree in research methods, a graduate certificate in clinical research, and a doctorate in natural medicine.
After graduation, Alisha completed a 3-year, NIH-funded post-doctoral T32 research fellowship at OHSU, and she currently manages the SNACK (Science of Nutrition, Affect & Cognition in Kids) Lab in the Psychiatry Department, inside the Center for Mental Health Innovation. She is also a research scientist for ZRT Laboratory and a methodologist for the Comprehensive Research Evidence Synthesis Training (CREST) center at Helfgott Research Institute.
She has a special interest in systematic reviews and meta-analyses, structural equation modeling, meta-epidemiology, and increasing transparency in research. In her spare time, she likes to play classical piano, read, knit, fly fish, and hunt.
