Alisha Bruton is a Research Scientist & Biostatistician at Oregon Health & Science University.
Her research focuses on the role of nutrition, stress, inflammation, and body awareness on the
health & well-being of people with ADHD. She has an MS in Biostatistics, an MS in Integrative
Research Methods, a graduate certificate in Clinical Research, and a doctorate in Natural Medicine.

After graduation, Alisha completed a 3-year, NIH-funded post-doctoral research fellowship, and
she currently manages the SNACK (Science of Nutrition, Affect & Cognition in Kids) Lab in the
Center for Mental Health Innovation, inside the Psychiatry Department at OHSU. She is also
a Research Scientist for ZRT Laboratory. She has a special interest in systematic reviews and
meta-analyses, structural equation modeling, and increasing transparency in research.

In her spare time, she likes to play classical piano, read, knit, fly fish, and hunt. She’s passionate
about firearm safety, and volunteers as a Range Safety Officer at the Cowlitz County Public
Shooting Range.
